Today in maths the triangles group were learning to add large numbers using place value. Here Jorja  explains how they use place value when adding numbers together.

COUNTING ON USING MATERIALS

In maths today the Stars learnt how to count on using materials. We all decided that it is easier to add the smaller number on to the bigger number e.g. 3 + 9 start with 9 and add on 3 to get 12. If we get stuck we can use materials such as counters to help us count on.
